Holloway Begins In The Heart of Bondi
Holloway Removals began in 2008 with our founder, Andy Holloway. Originally he moved vintage furniture around with his truck in Bondi and Sydney’s East trading as ‘Andy the Guy With a Van’.
2012
From ‘Andy the Guy’ To Holloway Removals
From one guy and one van to a company with six trucks! ‘Andy the Guy With A Van’ had to upgrade to ‘Holloway Removals’. 2012 also marked the year Holloway Removals became a family business. Andy’s son, Orlando Holloway, joined and the business celebrated tuning over its first million!
2013
Transport Became Bricks and Mortar
2013 was a big year of firsts. Holloway Removals took on it's first, 1,000 sqm warehouse at 904 Bourke Road, Zetland. We also acquired our first commercial client, Aspect Furniture and assisted with all their importing, warehousing, pick and packing, providing transport logistics and bespoke 3PL solutions across Sydney City to interstate solutions in Melbourne and Canberra.
2015
From Removals to Mobile Self-Storage and A Second Warehouse
The business doubled in 2015 and the first operations and sales support teams were recruited to keep up with demand. Mobile self-storage services were added to the residential portfolio and a second warehouse was secured at 44 O’Dea Ave, Waterloo - the ‘Holloway Removals & Storage’ brand was born.
2016
A Fleet Of Interstate Trucks
Andy invested in a fleet of 60m3 Pantec trucks to run support the demand for New Furniture Logistics clients including Dedon, Mayven, Design by Them, and Coco Republic. The trucks also commenced a larger focus on interstate removals, running regular schedules from Sydney to Melbourne, Sydney to Brisbane, Sydney to Adelaide.
2017
All About Culture
As the team grew Andy appointed his first culture and customer experience division, to ensure the customer always remained front of mind. The Holloway smile and tribe vibe thrived! Andy appointed his first marketing agency ‘Elephant Room’ to assist driving the Holloway brand.
2018
Four Warehouses, Three New Websites and an April Fools campaign
2018 marks the biggest year so far for Holloway Removals! Three branded websites are under construction, and four Sydney warehouses are operational. Holloway also ran it’s first April Fools Day campaign, which went viral, reaching over 15K views.
