We recently performed an office warehouse relocation with a big client, Devirra Group!
An educational retailer for the music industry, Devirra had to relocate their office and warehouse from Condell Park (which they’d outgrown) to a state-of-the-art distribution centre in Revesby.
It was a big day but a very successful relocation, with yet another happy customer – and it’s all because of two major things; the people on-site and, of course, lots of careful planning. Here’s a bit about what went on during the job.
For this move, in the pre-planning phase, we broke the relocation down into 18 stages. Why? Because when performing a business relocation it is important to be as organised as possible!
We hired forklifts, had 5 to 10 people on-site throughout the 7 day relocation, and allocated two dedicated project managers – one for the old warehouse and one for the new.
During the warehouse relocation itself, we disassembled and assembled everything. From office workstations, compactus, to pallet racking and shelving. We carefully transported all of the stock and equipment.
Crucially, before relocating, we continually planned the logistics with the client. Using blueprints and CAD drawings, we mapped out the most efficient way to install the new pallet racking, shelving, and compactus for the new warehouse.
It was a huge effort but a job well done. We’re proud if we do say so ourselves. To find out more about our office warehouse relocations, check out our Office Removals page or send us a message. We love these challenging yet rewarding jobs.
